Nippers

Nippers is aimed at learning about Surf Life Saving and Surf Awareness through Surf Education programs, with an emphasis on participation and fun.

This is a great way to spend a Sunday morning at the beach. Not only will your child have fun and meet new friends, they will become part of an iconic organisation that has served the Australian community for over 100 years.

The nippers program will include surf swimming, surf safety, board paddling, board rescue, beach activities, and basic first aid.

Pool Proficiencies

All our young members from Under 6 through to the Under 14 age groups must complete a pool proficiency annually prior to the commencement of Nippers.

If you are unable to attend one of our scheduled proficiency/sign-on dates, you will need to coordinate completion of this yourself through a qualified/accredited swim coach or swim teacher using the Pool Proficiency form.

One completed, the form can be emailed to the Club Office prior to Nippers commencing on the 29th September 2024. Please email the form to nippers@tugunslsc.com.au.

You will still need to join online by following the link to our How to Join page for more information.
